Requirements

What you need to drive.

Our standards meet or exceed the rideshare rules in all four states. You'll upload everything in the Rydelinx Driver app.

You

  • At least 25 years old
  • A valid U.S. driver's license, held for at least 1 year
  • A clean driving record: no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, and no major violations such as DUI or reckless driving
  • Pass a criminal background check and driving record check, which Rydelinx repeats regularly
  • A smartphone that can run the Rydelinx Driver app
  • A bank account for payouts through Stripe

Your vehicle

  • Registered and inspected in the state where you drive
  • Your own auto insurance that covers rideshare driving, in your name or listed on the policy
  • 4 doors and in good condition, inside and out
  • Comfort: newer models with extra legroom. XL: 6 or more passenger seats. Premium: luxury models
  • The app shows which ride types each of your cars qualifies for

Your insurance. Drivers carry their own auto insurance. Your policy must cover rideshare driving (usually a rideshare endorsement or commercial policy) and meet the requirements of the state where you drive. Upload it in the app and keep it current.

Driver FAQ

Questions from drivers.

How much does Rydelinx take?

10% of the ride fare. You keep 90% of the fare plus 100% of tolls and tips. Riders also pay a booking fee shown in their upfront price.

When do I get paid?

Connect your bank account once through Stripe, then withdraw your available balance any time.

Can I accept cash rides?

Yes. Card earnings and cash collected are shown separately. On cash rides, the Rydelinx share is taken from your card earnings balance.

Can I drive for other apps too?

Yes. You're an independent contractor and choose when and where you drive.

What are scheduled rides?

Riders book ahead. You can browse booked rides within 25 miles for the next 7 days, filter by Today, Tomorrow or This Week, and reserve the ones you want. You'll get a reminder before each pickup.
